Jim Carty of the Ann Arbor News joins the show to talk a little Spring Football.  We chat about the lore of Michigan, and get his initial reaction to the Rich Rod era.

We also talk a little hoops, as Nick once worked for John Beilein.  We get Jim’s thoughts on the current state of Wolverine basketball, as well as the legacy of Chris Webber and his never-ending path of destruction.

Oh yeah, Jim rips Ohio State fans, and tears down the hopes and dreams of anyone who has ever chanted “We Are....”  You know who you are.  Then we talk about the Big Ten’s 12th team, and if it could be Rutgers.

Finally, we ask Jim if he misses New Jersey.  We know he does.

Honestly, as if I’d be anything but, Jim is great.  He’s a sportswriter in the truest sense.  He’s opinionated, he shoots from the hip and he holds people accountable.  But, he does it with the appropriate grain of salt.  It is sports, after all.
