Well we made it through the first week of these Daily shows. Don’t know why I keep capitalizing Daily, but it seems right.

On today’s show we lead off with some talk of Terrell Owens. Why is he gone from Dallas and will any team sign him.

Then on to our first segment. We’re trying to reach out to other blogs/podcasts as much as possible to make a weekly feature helping everyone out there in the ‘sphere plug their crap on our time. We figure it’s a good way to spread both messages and help build a wider network of listeners, readers, colleagues and, yes, friends. Almost made m’self barf there.

Blogs We Can’t Vouch For: Tim Daloisio from Fire Brand of the American League joins the show to talk about writing for a blog that covers the Boston Red Sox. Are all Red Sox fans as annoying and obnoxious as we’ve grown to know? Turns out, Tim’s a good guy, and reasonable and knows his stuff. We talk about the site, how he got started and their partnership with MVN (and talk about if this is where the blog world is going -- partnerships and more partnerships and buyouts and eventually we’ll all be owned by Yahoo and AOL). Oh, and we discuss the Red Sox chances in what’s a pretty good division.

Culture Pop: Our look into the world of Pop Culture. Nick talks about the return of Breaking Bad to AMC. We also discuss the turnover on TV in the last five years with so many shows being cancelled, and if it’s worth getting invested in a show if there’s thought it might get cancelled. That said, if enough people do that, the ratings will stink and the show will get cancelled. Yeesh.

Tech Talk: Staying with TV, we talk about the news that Showtime is sending out Emmy screeners available for download on iPhone and iPod Touch. Brilliant use of new technology.

The Weekend That Is: Nick Talks about the upcoming Philadelphia Beer Festival and the WBC. Dan talks about this weekend’s huge BIG EAST hoops games that could decide one or even two #1 seeds in the NCAA Tournament.

Email of the Week: We play our first weekly Listener Soapbox from Mitch in NC. He talks about performance enhancing drugs. Salient points, but far too reasoned for what we’re looking for next week people. And Nick reads a reply to his soapbox this week about loud people. Okay grampa, we get it.
